New Self-Portrait

After years of using the same portrait for my socials and website it was time to make a new one. I wanted to get off my iPad and make something with paint.

Face Parts

Using some bristol paper, I painted a bunch of abstract washes and cut out the hat and beard, face and glasses. Then I added some details to the face with paint and pencil.

My first attempt and I just wasn’t happy with it. I like the painterly approach but I wanted to get my hands dirty.
